Business Development Manager

Skinthesis | Skin & Aesthetic Clinic

Location: Reservoir/Ringwood
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: Clinic Manager and Clinic owner

About Skinthesis

Skinthesis is a modern skin and aesthetic clinic offering a range of advanced aesthetic and skin treatments, including Botox, dermal fillers, Rejuran, PRP, laser treatments, and professional facials.

We are looking for a commercially minded, entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to take responsibility for driving the next stage of Skinthesis' growth.

This is not a traditional sales role. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new sources of revenue, developing innovative business opportunities, improving operational efficiency, reducing unnecessary costs, and ensuring we get the maximum value from our existing people, resources, and clinic capacity.

The Role

The BDM will work closely with the clinic owner and team to identify opportunities to make Skinthesis more profitable, efficient, and commercially successful.

You will be expected to think beyond day-to-day operations and continually ask:

How can we generate more business, serve more clients, use our existing resources more effectively, and reduce unnecessary costs?

You will have significant responsibility for developing and implementing practical ideas that contribute directly to the clinic's growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Drive New Business

•  Develop and implement strategies to consistently generate new clients.
•  Identify new revenue streams and untapped client markets.
•  Develop referral, corporate, community, and strategic partnership opportunities.
•  Identify opportunities to increase consultations, treatment bookings, packages, memberships, and repeat visits.
•  Develop creative campaigns, promotions, events, and initiatives that generate measurable new business.
•  Explore new channels for client acquisition beyond traditional advertising.
•  Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for Skinthesis to differentiate itself.
•  Build relationships with relevant businesses, professionals, influencers, and organizations that can generate qualified referrals.
•  Develop and maintain a measurable business-development pipeline.

2. Maximize Existing Staff & Clinic Capacity

A major responsibility of this role will be ensuring Skinthesis gets the maximum commercial value from its existing team and facilities.

This includes:

•  Identifying unused practitioner and treatment-room capacity.
•  Improving booking utilization and reducing gaps in schedules.
•  Identifying opportunities to increase bookings during quieter periods.
•  Reviewing staff productivity and identifying opportunities for improvement.
•  Developing strategies to increase revenue per client while maintaining appropriate clinical and ethical standards.
•  Improving client rebooking and retention processes.
•  Identifying opportunities for cross-referrals between appropriate treatments.
•  Ensuring the clinic's existing resources are being used efficiently.
•  Working with staff to identify practical ideas for increasing productivity and revenue.

3. Reduce Operational Costs

The BDM will actively look for ways to reduce unnecessary operating expenses without compromising clinical standards, patient safety, quality, or client experience.

Responsibilities include:

•  Reviewing recurring operating expenses and identifying potential savings.
•  Reviewing supplier relationships and negotiating better commercial terms where appropriate.
•  Identifying unnecessary or underutilized subscriptions, services, and expenses.
•  Reviewing product and treatment-related costs.
•  Identifying opportunities to reduce wastage and improve inventory management.
•  Improving purchasing and ordering processes.
•  Reviewing staffing and scheduling efficiency.
•  Comparing operational costs against revenue and utilization.
•  Bringing forward practical cost-saving recommendations to management.

4. Business Strategy & Innovation

We want someone who actively brings ideas to the table.

You will:

•  Continually identify business and client opportunities
