Survey Technician / Draftsperson

About the role

We're looking for a skilled Survey Technician/Draftsperson to join our team in Hawthorn. You'll prepare survey plans to meet Land Use Victoria requirements and produce clear, professional plans for client presentation. Working under the supervision of management, you'll prepare accurate plans that meet project and client requirements.

What you'll do

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D survey and engineering construction drawings in AutoCAD, using survey data, field information and project specifications.
• Interpret survey records, measurements, coordinates and project documentation to ensure drawings are accurate and complete.
• Review drawings and supporting documents for compliance with project requirements, relevant regulations and client standards.
• Prepare survey plans and cadastral documentation in accordance with Land Use Victoria requirements and relevant surveying standards.
• Prepare services investigation plans identifying existing underground and above-ground services, including water, sewer, stormwater, electricity, gas and telecommunications infrastructure.
• Liaise with surveyors, project managers and other relevant personnel to clarify technical details and coordinate drafting requirements.
• Maintain drawing accuracy, consistency and quality while meeting project deadlines.

About you

• 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Previous experience in surveying documentation, cadastral drafting and construction-related drafting will be highly regarded.
• Ability to prepare services investigation plans.
