Weekend Pub Security / Crowd Controller
Friday & Saturday Nights | Grand Hotel Healesville
The Grand Hotel Healesville is looking for an experienced and reliable Crowd Controller to join our team for regular Friday and Saturday night shifts.
We’re a country pub in a small community, so we’re looking for someone who understands that good security is as much about people skills as it is crowd control.
You’ll need to be friendly and approachable with our regulars, know how to read a situation, and be experienced enough to step in calmly when needed. We’re not looking for a nightclub-style approach — we want someone who understands the relaxed, community feel of a country pub while still keeping our staff and patrons safe.
The role includes:
Friday & Saturday night shifts
Regular ongoing work
Monitoring the bar, beer garden and surrounding areas
Keeping an eye on patron behaviour and RSA issues
De-escalating situations calmly before they become a problem
Assisting staff with refusing entry or removing patrons when necessary
Helping us maintain a safe, friendly environment for everyone
About you:
Current Victorian Crowd Controller licence
Experienced in pub, bar or hospitality security
Reliable and punctual
Confident without being confrontational
Friendly, approachable and able to have a laugh
Good judgement and strong communication skills
Someone who understands country pub culture and a close-knit community
We’re Tom & Lisa, local owners of the Grand Hotel Healesville. We’re hands-on in the business and genuinely care about our staff and the people who walk through our doors.
We’re looking for someone who will become part of our team — not just someone standing at the door.
If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
