Our team is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve, and we pride ourselves on fostering a workplace culture that values collaboration, respect, and professional excellence.

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our care team at our West Woombye facility. This is a full-time position - 38 hours per week - that plays a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing care to our aged care residents. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualised care plans whilst ensuring the wellbeing and comfort of our residents. This position offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact on residents' lives whilst working within a supportive and collaborative team environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Administering medications and monitoring residents' responses to treatment in accordance with best practice standards

  • Providing direct nursing care including wound care, catheter management, and other clinical interventions as required

  • Monitoring and recording vital signs and health status changes, reporting concerns to relevant medical practitioners

  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including doctors, allied health professionals, and care staff to ensure coordinated, holistic care

  • Supporting residents' emotional and psychological wellbeing whilst promoting independence and dignity

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date resident health records and documentation

  • Contributing to continuous improvement in care practices and participating in staff development activities

  • Ensuring compliance with aged care standards, regulations, and organisational policies

What we're looking for

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse

  • Demonstrated experience in aged care nursing or a related healthcare setting

  • Strong knowledge of aged care practices, geriatric health conditions, and evidence-based care approaches

  • Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills with the ability to respond appropriately to residents' changing health needs

  • Proficiency in medication administration and management

  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary team members

  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands

  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, person-centred care and maintaining residents' dignity

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • Familiarity with electronic health records and clinical documentation systems is desirable
