About us
Knoxx Foods is a Sydney-based B2B importer and supplier of bulk food ingredients. We source HACCP-certified products from growers and producers in more than ten countries, including India, China, Italy, Indonesia and Thailand. Our range includes processed tomatoes, rice, dehydrated vegetables, starches and seasonings, pasta and coconut products. We supply ready-meal manufacturers, meat and seafood processors, bakeries, pet food producers, quick-service restaurants, caterers, health and aged care facilities, and food service distributors in every Australian state and territory.
Our product range and national customer base keep growing, so we are looking for an experienced Supply and Distribution Manager. You will lead our import supply chain, inventory and national distribution from our Blacktown facility.
The role
Reporting to the Director, you will:
Plan, direct and coordinate the purchasing, importation, storage and national distribution of bulk food ingredients
Manage relationships with overseas suppliers, including negotiating price, quality specifications, lead times and Incoterms
Coordinate international freight, customs clearance and biosecurity (DAFF) requirements with freight forwarders and customs brokers
Forecast demand and set purchasing and stock levels across product lines to minimise stockouts, wastage and aged stock
Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, inspection, storage of bulk formats (sacks, drums, bag-in-box), stock rotation and dispatch
Plan delivery schedules and manage logistics partners and transport providers so orders reach metro and regional customers on time
Develop and implement supply chain, procurement and inventory control policies and procedures
Maintain product traceability and compliance with HACCP, food safety, labelling and WHS requirements
Monitor supply chain costs and performance against budget and KPIs, and report to management
Supervise, train and roster warehouse and logistics staff
Work with the sales, quality and innovation teams on supply for customised and new product requirements
About you
Bachelor degree or higher in supply chain, logistics, business or a related field, or at least five years' relevant experience in supply and distribution management
Demonstrated experience managing import procurement, inventory and distribution, ideally in food ingredients, FMCG or food service
Working knowledge of international shipping, customs and biosecurity import processes
Strong negotiation and supplier relationship skills
Proficiency with inventory management / ERP systems and advanced Excel
Understanding of HACCP and food safety requirements
Proven ability to lead a team and meet deadlines
Current driver's licence (forklift licence desirable)
What we offer
Salary of $80,000 – $85,000 plus superannuation, commensurate with experience
Full-time, ongoing position, 38 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
